He should’ve been in prison.

At seventeen, Brian Adamson was staring down a four-to-ten-year felony for selling drugs while his girlfriend was pregnant and his future already written off.

His parents worked blue-collar jobs, his teachers gave up, and his own decisions had boxed him in. Yet somewhere between that courtroom and the chaos that followed, something cracked open—not in defeat, but in faith.

That moment of surrender would become the start of an empire.

The Fall

He was seventeen, handcuffed, and staring down a four-to-ten-year felony.

Born on Detroit’s west side, Brian Adamson had already learned the hustle—but not yet the cost of it. His dad was a firefighter, his mom a cashier. They believed in hard work and staying out of trouble. Brian believed he could shortcut it. By the time he was kicked out of his parents’ house, his girlfriend was pregnant, and his shot at a normal life looked finished. “That moment,” he told me, “was my personal rock bottom.”

When everything you’ve built collapses, you either break or you begin to live.

The Turning Point

For Brian, the turning point came not in success, but surrender.

He found his way into a small church on Detroit’s west side—angry, broke, and desperate—and left with faith. Within months, the case was expunged from his record. He got reinstated in college. His girlfriend became his wife. “I found Christ, and everything started to change,” he said. That faith anchored him through rebuilding years that most people would’ve quit.

He started small, first in corporate America, with twelve years in plastics manufacturing—and used every spare dollar to invest in his first rental property.

Most coaches talk about the 23-hour flight. I show them how to sell the water bungalows.

The Climb

Real estate became his classroom.

For nearly two decades he bought, renovated, and rented homes while learning the mechanics of wealth. Then came his first true leap: teaching others how to do the same. Within three years, his real estate mastermind had students in ten countries, from Japan to Denmark, generating over $1 million a year in revenue.

And then came the ClickFunnels stage.

He hadn’t even realized he qualified for the award—until his business partner urged him to apply. Months later, in Las Vegas, under the lights, he walked across the stage as Tony Robbins spoke to the crowd.

The same kid who once faced prison now stood shoulder to shoulder with the people who’d shaped his life.

The Test

But no growth story runs in a straight line.

Brian lost half a million dollars on unsuccessful real estate deals and another quarter million hiring marketing agencies that overpromised and under-delivered. It would’ve been easy to play victim. Instead, he looked inward. “I didn’t have the KPIs,” he said. “I couldn’t hold anyone accountable because I didn’t know what to measure.” That humility became his edge. He learned to treat every failure as market feedback—and every dollar lost as tuition.

It’s what led him to his next pivot: coaching coaches and consultants. Not teaching them how to hustle, but how to build real businesses that last.

The Framework

Today, Brian teaches what he calls the three P’s: Pricing, Positioning, and Packaging.

Most coaches, he says, sell the process instead of the payoff.

“They talk about the 23-hour flight,” he laughed, “instead of the water bungalows in the Maldives.”

His system flips that mistake.

He helps experts identify the pain, potential, or pleasure that drives their clients—point A—and designs the fastest, clearest path to point C, the promised outcome.

Everything in between is just logistics.

He’s not selling hype. He’s selling alignment—the rare clarity that lets people charge what they’re worth and serve at scale.

And that’s why his clients now have six-figure days and seven-figure years—not because they escaped failure, but because they learned how to use it.

My biggest takeaways

  1. Failure is feedback.

Every loss carries data—treat it as tuition, not punishment.

Go back to your last three failed campaigns and write down exactly what metric or decision caused each to fail. The clarity you gain is your next playbook.

  2. Faith builds a foundation.

Whether spiritual or strategic, conviction stabilizes growth.

Revisit your “why” every morning—in one sentence—before opening your laptop. A grounded founder makes faster, cleaner decisions.

  3. Sell the outcome, not the process.

    People buy transformation, not tools.

Rewrite your main offer headline today to describe the end result your client gets, not the number of calls, modules, or templates you include.

  4. Price is based on confidence, not fear.

The value you charge signals the certainty you carry.

List your competitors’ top offers and set your price at least 20% higher—then add one deliverable that clearly justifies it.

  5. Accountability is power.

    Without metrics, there’s no mastery.

Define three KPIs for your business this week—one for leads, one for conversions, and one for retention—and review them every Friday.

That’s a wrap!
